I was at Polaris22 this weekend (formerly known as Toronto Trek). It was nice to finally go to a Con that I didn't have to fly to. Went to lots of writing panels, not that I think they will help me write anything any faster. But I made an effort.

Of course, you're probably not interested in any of the writers I met and followed about (Kelley Armstrong and Tanya Huff, if you are). You're probably more interested in this guy:




When asked who would win a verbal sparring match, Josef or Logan, his answer was: "Josef, but Logan wouldn't care."

When asked what question would he really liked to be asked at one of these cons, his answer was: "I dunno. 'Where'd you get those shoes?'"

And apparently, he got his shoes at "some department store".

Who does he keep in touch with from VM? Well, obviously Ryan and Francis, but he also texts Kristen all the time for advice.

She demonstrated her flexibility at one point by suddenly lying down on stage and twisting herself about to show us how she, and subsequently George, sleeps. Also, she defended Mandy Patinkin, who is notorious for being difficult to work with. She said that she always knew that he cared about her and that she learned a lot from him.

If you can believe it, I think of the two, Muth got the more inane and diehard fan questions. I think she was kinda scared of this one guy (I know I was) who kept insisting his philosophy behind Dead Like Me was what was really going on. But she handled it really well.
